About the Axiom-4 Mission

Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4) is a privately funded mission by Axiom Space, conducted in partnership with NASA and SpaceX. It will be the fourth commercial mission to the ISS, aiming to advance scientific research, space diplomacy, and international partnerships in human spaceflight.

The crew of Ax-4 includes:

• Peggy Whitson (USA) – Mission Commander and a veteran astronaut with multiple ISS tours.
• Shubhanshu Shukla (India) – Pilot and India’s first astronaut on a commercial space mission.
• Sławosz Uznański (Poland) – Mission Specialist, supported by the European Space Agency (ESA).
• Tibor Kapu (Hungary) – Mission Specialist, representing Hungary’s maiden crewed space venture.

The mission will launch aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket with a Crew Dragon capsule, and is expected to last 14 to 21 days. The crew will dock with the ISS and conduct more than 60 experiments, many of which are contributed by participating countries including India.
